Shock Detector for Shipment or Vehicle Monitoring

The ShockTimer-Plus 3Dtm (STP-3D) is a low cost, 3-axis g force shock detector with time stamp.

The STP-3D can be installed on any item that needs to be transported with care or safety. STP-3D detects and logs whenever shocks occur that exceed the set trip level, it will then save a time and date stamped occurrence with a peak-g level. The device is re-settable and reusable via a wireless IRDA interface to a PC.

STP-3D allows you to use the product repeatedly to detect in-transport package damage. A great example of use is the delivery of a high priced prestige car: the customer complains of damage on arrival, the STP-3D can be downloaded to see when a shock occurred in transit, this could be then defined for example as a road traffic collision, harsh accelerating or braking by the driver, damage of entry or exit of the transporter.

The STP-3D shock detector that has a self-powered 5 year battery life with temperature and humidity data logging optional.

The unit is supplied with a simple windows software package for setting it up, extracting data, and writing it to a file. The file may then be opened in MS Excel for review and analysis.
