{"id":1137,"date":"2011-03-25T14:19:47","date_gmt":"2011-03-25T14:19:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dev.aideautomotive.com\/?p=1137"},"modified":"2011-03-25T14:19:47","modified_gmt":"2011-03-25T14:19:47","slug":"load-safety-is-reviewed-by-vosa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aideautomotive.com\/articles\/load-safety-is-reviewed-by-vosa\/","title":{"rendered":"Load Safety Is Reviewed By VOSA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"justify\">The recent FTA Safety In Transport conference in Coventry heard that VOSA\u00a0is increasing their focus on checking load safety and security when operators trucks and trailers are stopped by the organisation.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Speakers from VOSA and the HSE explained how the two organisations have been working\u00a0together\u00a0on road-side checks to improve VOSA&#8217;s\u00a0understanding of\u00a0load safety\u00a0and educate the industry&#8217;s front-line staff.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">It is reported that 1200 people a year\u00a0are injured during the loading and unloading of vehicles at the workplace: 64% of these accidents involved someone falling from height, while 17% saw the victim\u00a0hit by a falling object or material.
