We need to make you aware that there have been a total of 19 thefts of catalytic converter thefts over the Sherwood villages area since 1st May 2012, and 16 reports. (Four thefts took place in one location at Southwell).
These are spread over the area as follows,
4 thefts from Ollerton/Boughton area
4 theft reports from Southwell area (8 Cat?s stolen in total)
5 from Egmanton village
2 from Edwinstowe.
Only two of these thefts are from vehicles other than 4×4?s, both of those were Peugeot 406 motor vehicles. Thefts have mainly occurred from pick up trucks (Hi-lux/Ford Ranger/Mitsubishi Warrior/L200) or transit type vans. The majority have also occurred overnight.
We urge all to be vigilant,particulary owners of 4x4s and report anything suspicious.
