Off Road Plant Auto Braking System CV Stop

CV Stop 4 Plant automatically applies the brakes when an object such as a person or obstacle is in close proximity to the rear of the vehicle. This is achieved by measuring the phase shift, thus CV Stop can accurately map and detect people or objects behind the vehicle.

CV Stop 4 Plant activates when the vehicle is in reverse (forward optional), continuously monitoring at a distance up to 3 metres behind the vehicle.

An incident in June 2019 where a loading shovel reversed into a lorry driver causing serious injuries would have been prevented with CV Stop 4 Plant system installed on the Loading Shovel.

CV Stop will automatically apply the brakes if any of the sensors detect an obstacle, leaving sufficient time for a person to move or the vehicle being realigned.

• Obstacle Visual and Audible Indication to the driver
• Brakes apply for 3 seconds when an imminent collision is detected.
• Has override button for reversing into narrow streets and parking, to allow for vehicle overhang.
• Override default times out after 30 seconds for safety reasons (Programmable to customer spec)
• Brake application is pulsed, so no sharp jolts when stopping at speed.
• Throttle Control to “Kill” engine revs, preventing drive through against braking & wear on brakes/transmission.
