In 2008 the results from Michelin’s Fill Up With Air campaign showed a staggering 35 per cent of drivers had vehicles with under inflated tyres. Yet despite many different organisations trying to promote the tyre safety message the results are getting worse! Michelin’s 2009 Fill Up With Air campaign results demonstrate a 1% increase in this figure.
Tyre Pressure Monitoring is an issue not to be ignored. Underinflated tyres cause motorists expense as vehicles run less efficiently and at the very worse in the event of a blow out they can cost lives!
aide automotive provides two products that assist with this issue. PressurePro, a wireless, tyre air pressure sensor screws onto the tyre’s valve. The Monitor can be powered by the cigarette lighter accessory or can be hard wired. It displays current tyre pressure as well as alerting to low tyre pressures with both a visual and audible warning.
Air Alert is a simpler warning device that blinks when a loss of PSI occurs so just walking up to the vehicle will highlight an under inflated tyre.
